1+ years to go

• Insure your engagement ring
• Decide budget
• Make a guest list
• Book your venue
• Start considering dresses
• Research any suppliers you’re interested in (ie photographers, caterers and entertainment) and contact them to check their availability
• Pay any deposits
  

This is often the point where couples begin exploring venues that match the kind of day they’re imagining.

12 months to go

• Send out your save the dates
• Select your wedding party and ask them to be involved in your big day
• Choose your wedding dress
• Choose your colour scheme and wedding theme
• Start planning your honeymoon
  

As plans start to take shape, it can help to see spaces that support the atmosphere you’re envisioning.

9 months to go

• Order your bridesmaids and groomsmen’s outfits
• Sign up to a gift registry
• Secure any suppliers you haven’t already booked
• Shop for accessories

6 months to go

• Send out your invites
• Choose your wedding rings
• Have your hair and makeup trials
• Sort accommodation for where you will stay on your wedding night

3 months to go

• Give notice for your intention to marry or have your Banns read
• Hen and stag dos
• Sort favours and gifts

 At this stage, many couples start thinking about how they want their wedding day to feel - relaxed, personal, and unhurried.

1 month to go

• Plan your seating arrangement
• Pay any final fees to your suppliers
• Have your final fittings and finalise your accessories
• Work out your day’s itinerary
  

1 week to go

• Have any beauty treatments you want for the big day
• Check in with suppliers to finalise timings
• Confirm your seating plan
• Pack for honeymoon
• Break in your shoes!
• Put together an emergency kit with anything you might need on the day (safety pins, hair spray, tissues, plasters etc)
