Intimate weddings are becoming increasingly popular not only because they can feel gentler on your budget and less overwhelming to plan, but because they give you something truly special: more meaningful time with the people who matter most.

The Intimate Wedding is built for couples who want a wedding day with the same in-house catering and dedicated team as our larger packages, but for a guest list focused entirely on the people who matter most.


CEREMONY, FOOD &

It's designed for 30 to 40 guests, on selected dates throughout the year. You still get exclusive hire of The Buttery Barn and The Glasshouse, still a three-course wedding breakfast, and still the Honeymoon Suite included. What changes is your guest list.months before.

There's a common assumption that a smaller wedding means a scaled-down one: a little room instead of a full venue hire, a set menu instead of a three-course wedding breakfast, a shortened day because there are fewer people to celebrate with.

And when evening comes, you can simply let the day draw to a lovely close, or invite friends and family to join you for an evening reception.

PAYMENT PLAN

Our payment plan lets you spread the cost: a £1,000 non-refundable deposit secures your date followed by further instalments in the lead-up to your wedding, with the final balance due three months before.

Many small-wedding options mean function rooms, shared spaces, or venues that only offer exclusive use above a certain guest number. Our Intimate Wedding gives you the same fully exclusive, connected venue as our larger packages, at a scale that suits a smaller guest list.

A wedding built for 100 guests but attended by 25 can feel oddly empty. An Intimate Wedding is designed around its actual guest list from the start, so the day feels intentional rather than scaled down from something bigger.

Even with a smaller guest list, an Intimate Wedding uses all the connected spaces in The Glasshouse.


  • The Buttery Barn hosts your ceremony beneath 16th-century oak beams and candlelight.


  • The Glasshouse is your wedding breakfast room, light-filled by day.

A wedding venue for people who care about the food.

A smaller guest list doesn't mean a smaller kitchen effort. Our chefs prepare your three-course wedding breakfast entirely in-house, with the same seasonal, Kent-sourced ingredients used across every wedding here.


Dietary requirements are easily accommodated, something that's often easier, not harder, to do well for smaller tables.

Stay together overnight.

The Intimate Wedding includes the Honeymoon Suite with pamper room facilities from noon, so you can get ready for the ceremony and stay overnight without the need to travel home at the end of the night. Wake up still wrapped in the glow of your wedding day and enjoy a Full English breakfast.

Adding an evening reception.

The Intimate Wedding's core hire runs from noon to 9pm, with the option to add an evening reception if you'd like the celebration to continue until the next morning full English breakfast.


Add an evening reception for up to 50 extra guests, including Resident DJ, and an artisan pizza buffet for all guests.

  • How many guests can the Intimate Wedding hold?

    The Intimate Wedding is designed for 30 to 40 guests. Pricing is quoted for 30 guests, with additional adult guests charged at £110 (2027) or £120 (2028).

  • Do we still get exclusive use of the venue with a smaller guest list?

    Yes, for the core hire (The Buttery Barn and The Glasshouse), from 12 noon to 9pm.

  • Does the Intimate Wedding include day-before access (Calm Before the Confetti)?

    No. Day-before access is exclusive to the Indulgent Wedding and is not included with Intimate Weddings.

  • Can we add an evening reception?

    Yes, this is available as an add-on to the core 12 noon–9pm hire. Contact your coordinator for current pricing.

  • Is the deposit refundable?

    No, the £1,000 deposit to secure your date is non-refundable, the same as our other packages.

  • Is the Intimate Wedding cheaper than the Indulgent Wedding?

    It's priced according to the smaller guest list, shorter hire window and simpler format, rather than being a discounted version of a larger package.
