A Twilight Wedding is a wedding where the ceremony takes place later in the day, and the celebration flows directly into drinks, dinner and an evening party.


While a traditional English wedding begins with a 1–2pm ceremony and unfolds across the full afternoon and evening, a Twilight Wedding starts later and flows seamlessly to a party that naturally gathers momentum.

At The Glasshouse, a Deluxe Twilight Wedding begins with guests arriving from 2.30pm, and a 3.30pm ceremony, which gives you daylight for photographs and a celebration that feels properly hosted from the beginning until the end.

The celebration is designed around what feels right for you and your guests.


Food is prepared in-house by our kitchen team with the options of served at the table or buffet-style dining.


Your closest people can chose to stay overnight in the the nine boutique bedrooms and wake up to a full English breakfast. The day is shorter than a classic English wedding by design, not by compromise.

Dinner Party Twilight

Dinner Party Twilight is a seated wedding celebration.


Dinner Party Twilight is designed around bringing your guests together for a beautifully hosted seated meal, with table service, not a buffet.


It is designed for a 60 guest list so that every conversation lands. It is the format we recommend if your wedding includes older guests, young children, or anyone who would appreciate the comfort and ease of being served at the table.

Original Twilight

Original Twilight is a buffet-style wedding celebration built around energy. A 80 guest list. Buffet-style dining.


This is the format for couples who want their guests up out of their seats early, and who would rather their wedding be remembered for how good a night it was than how formal the dinner was.

How much does a Deluxe Twilight Wedding cost?

A Deluxe Twilight Wedding at The Glasshouse in 2027 is priced from £6,500 to £10,500 varying by month and day of the week.


Your favourite date is secured with a £1,000 non-refundable deposit.


Because only a small number of Twilight dates are released each year, availability can change quickly, quoted prices and dates are held for 7 days from receipt of your personalised quotation.

We have noticed three shifts in how couples plan their weddings, and twilight formats are the answer to all three.

Wedding guest fatigue.

A traditional wedding asks guests to commit eight to twelve hours of their day, often beginning at 1pm with the arrival of the guests and ending at midnight after a long afternoon. A Deluxe Twilight guests arrive ready to celebrate, enjoy generous food and hospitality, and move seamlessly from one memorable moment to the next.

Food at The Glasshouse is prepared entirely in-house by our own chefs. Choose between two dining styles: a two-course meal served at the table or relaxed buffet-style dining. Everything is prepared in-house from scratch—wholesome, generous dishes with The Bull’s unmistakable signature.

The Glasshouse sits beside The Bull Hotel, a boutique inn with 9 ensuite bedrooms. Couples and their closest guests can stay overnight without taxis, complicated journeys or leaving the atmosphere behind, and gather again over breakfast the following morning.

Older guests often notice the small, considered details that make a wedding feel genuinely welcoming, the comfortable seating, the pace of the day, the food and the care shown to every guest. These are the details that turn a celebration into a beautifully hosted experience.

Will she have somewhere to sit during the drinks reception?
(Yes — the courtyard has garden sofas, and we always bring chairs onto The Terrace.)


Will she be served at her table rather than queuing for food?
(Always, in Dinner Party Twilight.)


Will she have a bedroom on the first floor of The Bull Hotel, with no taxi journey at the end of the night?
(Yes — bookable as part of your wedding accommodation, added-on.)


Will she have somewhere quieter to retreat to once the music starts?
(Yes, the Lounge Bar is the perfect space with sink in sofas for a relaxing cup of tea.)


Will she be able to hear her family during dinner without competing with a band three feet away?
(The Buttery Barn and The Glasshouse are zoned so that dining and dancing don't overlap.)

Frequently asked questions

  • Can we get married outdoors at The Glasshouse on a twilight wedding day?

    Yes. Outdoor ceremonies on The Terrace are possible, weather and date permitting. The Buttery Barn is the indoor alternative, ready as a back-up should the weather change on the day. Your coordinator will walk through the back-up plan with you in advance.

  • Is a Deluxe Twilight Wedding only available on Friday or Saturday?

    Deluxe Twilight Weddings are available anyday. Friday and Saturday are our most popular twilight dates. Sunday and mid-week  twilight weddings are also available and priced lower than Friday or Saturday. Late-availability dates across all of these are released throughout the year.

  • Can we mix elements of Original Twilight and Dinner Party Twilight?

    All our weddings can be tailored to you, within reason. Your coordinator will consider whether each request is practical, achievable and suitable for your budget. With more than 15 years’ wedding experience, our team will guide you towards the best way to bring your celebration to life while meeting your individual requirements.

  • What time does a Deluxe Twilight Wedding finish?

    Music plays until 11.30pm and guests leave by midnight. Newly wedded couples are not asked to leave, you stay over in the Honeymoon Suite, and gather your belongings in the morning by 10.30am after the breakfast.

  • How does a Deluxe Twilight Wedding compare to a traditional wedding?

    Unlike many venues, we offer Twilight Weddings on prime Friday and Saturday dates throughout spring and summer which are the most sought-after dates in the wedding calendar. It is Deluxe because you can have a Twilight Wedding on a prime date, a date you truly want.

  • Is parking available?

    Yes. Parking spaces are available on site for wedding guests. Coaches can drop off directly at the venue. Taxis from Wrotham, Sevenoaks and Borough Green for evening departures are easy to pre-book.
