Newly Engaged FAQs
These are the questions newly engaged couples ask us most often.
How far in advance should we book?
Many couples book 12–18 months ahead, however a significante number of couples book only 3 to 6 months ahead. It varies by season, life circuntsances, budget, and number of guests. If you’ve got a timeframe in mind, the best next step is to book a tour and we’ll talk through availability. And yes! we do have plenty of time to organise your 2026 wedding too.
What guest numbers work best at The Glasshouse?
We are ideal for intimate weddings through to lively larger celebrations. The most popular weddings have 40 to 60 day-guests while twilight weddings are for 80 guests. If you have an estimate, we can help you picture the right layout and flow during your visit. The whole venue accommodates 150 evening-guests.
What happens if the weather changes on the day?
You will always have a beautiful Plan B at The Buttery & Glasshouse. The spaces work seamlessly indoors or outdoors, so you never need to worry about last-minute reshuffling or the day feeling “second best.”
What is included in the packages?
Our packages cover the key elements to make planning simple: venue hire, exclusive use, award-winning catering, table wine, welcome and toast drinks, evening reception, pamper room, honeymoon suite, full English breakfast. We will explain what is included and what can be tailored during your relaxed tour.
Can we have both the ceremony and reception on site?
Yes. Many of our couples love the ease of having everything in one place, with smooth transitions between pamper room, ceremony, drinks, dinner and evening celebrations.
How does your Signature Set-up Day work?
You and your suppliers will have access to the venue the day before your wedding to style and set up at a calm pace, without rushing or trying to do everything on the morning itself.
Do you offer accommodation for us and guests?
Yes. We have boutique rooms onsite, making it easy for you, close family and friends to stay over and enjoy a relaxed start (and finish) to your celebration.
Is a tour the right next step if we’re still early in planning?
Definitely. A tour gives you clarity, a sense of scale, and a realistic understanding of budget and flow even if you’re only just starting your venue search.
If your question is not here, just ask - we’re always happy to help.
