Getting ready

The day typically begins around 12 noon, with the couple arriving to get ready in the honeymoon suite with pamper room facilities. This unhurried start allows time for hair and makeup, photographs, and quiet moments shared with close family and the bridal party.

The ceremony

The wedding ceremony usually takes place at around 3pm, making the most of soft afternoon light throughout the year. By 4-5pm, guests are seated for the heart of a Sunday wedding celebration: a traditional Sunday roast wedding breakfast.

Food is central to every Sunday wedding at The Glasshouse. A classic Kent roast is served with beautifully cooked meats, crisp potatoes, seasonal vegetables, rich gravies, and thoughtful accompaniments.

It is wholesome, generous food. Comforting yet impressive and consistently praised as one of the best roast dinners guests have ever enjoyed at a wedding.

Following lunch, the pace softens naturally. Guests are free to enjoy the garden sofas in the sunny terrace. 

The lounge bar with sink in sofas by the fire offers the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing round of drinks while conversations stretch and deepen.

There is no need for elaborate entertainment - Sundays already provide the perfect atmosphere.

An early finish that guests appreciate

Most Sunday weddings conclude between 8 and 9pm, a timing guests genuinely appreciate. Without a late-night disco, a Sunday wedding is also a more affordable wedding option, allowing couples to invest in quality, food, and experience instead.
