Our Signature Set-up Day gives you something no other venue does: exclusive access to the venue the day before your wedding, with no extra cost.
Here’s how it works:
The Day Before - set-up at your own pace
From 3pm on the day before your wedding, you’ll have access to the venue to set up, style, and settle in without pressure. Bring your décor, meet your suppliers, and enjoy the space as it begins to come to life.
The wedding day night - no rushing off
At 11:30pm, when many venues would ask you to leave, you’re just a few steps away from your honeymoon suite. No taxis, no packing up, just a smooth, easy transition into the night.
The morning after - time to clear and say goodbyes
You’ll have until 10:30am the morning after your wedding to clear down. Whether it’s collecting your flowers or saying goodbye to loved ones over breakfast, there’s no rush.
That’s nearly 48 hours of venue hire, a rare luxury in Kent, and one that only The Buttery & Glasshouse can offer, with no extra costs.

Unlike most venues that host back-to-back weddings, we don’t believe in rushing or cramming your celebration into a tight schedule.
This extra time gives you the space, calm, and support to savour every step of the journey.
- Style the space your way. You and your team of helpers can take your time to decorate and set-up exactly as you imagined, without pressure or deadlines.
- Easy access for suppliers. Florists, stylists, entertainment, decorations, all welcome the day before to make sure everything is in place.
- Meet the team, settle in. Get familiar with the venue and liaise with your coordinator in person, adding confidence and ease to the day ahead.
- Bring everything early. Your dress, shoes, accessories can go straight to your honeymoon suite with spacious pamper room facilities.
- Make a night of it. Invite a few friends or family to stay the night before, enjoy drinks at the bar or dinner in the restaurant, and begin celebrating early.
- Enjoy hotel comfort. Take full advantage of the fact that we are a hotel, you deserve a relaxed, indulgent start to your celebration.
- Wake up wedding-ready. Sleep on-site and wake just steps from your ceremony, calm, rested, and entirely unrushed.
- A gentle start to the day. No stress, no travelling, no early check-ins. Simply wake up at your leisure and welcome your hairdresser and makeup artist to your suite, with everything and everyone already in place.

The majority of our wedding packages include our Signature Set-up Day, at no extra cost.
On rare occasions, the day before may not be available, for example, with our Christmas-Themed Weddings, where magical decorations are already included as part of the package. In these cases, there’s no need to set-up, as everything will be beautifully prepared for you.
You’re still welcome to check in the night before and enjoy your honeymoon suite and pamper room facilities.
