A celebration in colour
Married on 11th October 2025
Kay and Stuart
When Kay and Stuart first came across The Buttery & Glasshouse, they were immediately drawn to its beauty - a feeling that stayed with them right through to their wedding day.
For Kay, one of the most special moments was the wedding breakfast in the Glasshouse, sitting together, surrounded by loved ones, soaking up the atmosphere of a day they would never forget.
Her dress was a true reflection of her personality. Choosing not to follow tradition, Kay embraced a rich autumnal colour - something unexpected, striking, and entirely her. Her daughter Courtney, who stood beside her as chief bridesmaid, loved the dress from the very first moment, especially how beautifully the colour complemented her.
Guests were equally captivated, with many commenting on the stunning colour - something no one quite expected, but everyone admired.
Elegant, unexpected, and completely personal - a look that left a lasting impression.
A moment to remember

Rosie and Chris
Rosie and Chris chose The Buttery & Glasshouse for its intimate atmosphere, falling in love with the character of the stone-walled Buttery and the exceptional food, details that made the venue feel instantly special.
For them, the entire day was unforgettable. Every moment held meaning, creating a celebration filled with love, joy, and connection from beginning to end.
Rosie’s dress was something she had admired from afar, a style that felt different from anything else she had seen. Although she hadn’t expected to choose it, when the moment came, it felt completely right.
Seeing her for the first time, both her dad and Chris were overcome with emotion, a moment Rosie will carry with her forever.
Guests echoed the same sentiment, with many saying the dress looked as though it had been made especially for her.
A dress chosen from the heart, worn in a moment filled with love and remembered forever.

Maddy and Will
Maddy and Will chose The Buttery & Glasshouse for its intimate atmosphere and beautifully styled spaces, a place that felt instantly right for their celebration.
Their wedding breakfast was a standout moment - relaxed, joyful, and filled with incredible food that their guests still fondly remember.
Maddy’s dress was a true hidden gem. Found in a charity shop for £100, and the very first one she tried on, it felt perfect from the start. Only later did she discover it was a Justin Alexander gown! An unexpected detail that made the story even more special.
On the day, guests were amazed, with many commenting on how “absolutely beautiful, even better in person.” the dress was never guessing its origin.
Proof that sometimes the most unexpected finds become the most unforgettable.
The unexpected faces of The Glasshouse
Married on 24th October 2024
Georgia and Dan
Searching for an intimate, flexible venue where their entire day could unfold in one place, Georgia and Dan were instantly drawn to the beauty of The Glasshouse.
From their first visit, it offered everything they had envisioned - exceptional food, exclusive use, and a space that felt both personal and full of possibility.
For them, the most special part of the day was simple, having everyone they loved together, from dinner through to dancing, sharing every moment in one place.
Georgia’s dress reflected her signature style: modern, fitted, and effortlessly minimalist. With clean lines and a timeless silhouette, it felt instantly right, even if it took a second visit to truly realise it was the one.
Guests weren’t surprised by her choice, it was exactly what they expected of her, perfectly aligned with her style. So striking were their wedding photographs that the couple became familiar faces of The Glasshouse, their day continuing to inspire future couples long after it ended.
Timeless, confident, unmistakably her - a look that became part of The Glasshouse story.
Two looks, one celebration

Daniella and Mike
For Daniella and Mike, The Buttery & Glasshouse offered the perfect balance, historic charm paired with modern elegance, and the flexibility to create a day that felt entirely their own.
Their ceremony was a true highlight, personal, meaningful, and the result of careful planning alongside the team. As Mike described it, it was simply “our moment.”
Daniella’s approach to her dress was just as personal. Choosing two gowns, she embraced both sides of her style - one classic and refined for the ceremony, and another, later revealed, that was bold, fun, and made for the dancefloor.
In a playful twist, Mike was blindfolded before seeing the second dress for the first time - a moment of surprise, laughter, and pure joy.
Two dresses, one unforgettable day, a celebration of style, personality, and the freedom to be completely yourself.
Perfectly her

Rebecca and Andrew
Rebecca and Andrew were drawn to The Buttery & Glasshouse for its relaxed atmosphere, warm welcome, and the kindness of the team; a place where their day could unfold naturally and feel completely their own.
One of Rebecca’s favourite moments was cocktail hour, a chance to pause, connect, and simply enjoy being surrounded by the people they love most.
Her dress was chosen for one simple reason - the sleeves. Fun, feminine, and full of personality, it felt instantly right. Described as “pretty and girly,” it was a look that reflected her perfectly.
Seeing her for the first time, her dad smiled and laughed, a moment captured in photographs she will always treasure. Later, as she walked down the aisle, Andrew’s reaction said it all, brought to tears at the sight of her.
Guests echoed the same feeling, describing the dress as beautiful, unique, and unmistakably her.
Joyful, feminine, and beautifully individual - a dress that told its own story.
A room full of love
Married on 21st February 2026
Helen and Andy
From their very first visit, Helen and Andy knew The Buttery & Glasshouse was the perfect setting; a seamless blend of historic charm and contemporary style, ideal for their relaxed winter celebration.
Their twilight ceremony felt especially meaningful, intimate, atmospheric, and filled with what they describe as “a room full of love.” With guests gathering beforehand for drinks, the day flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next.
Helen chose a dress that stayed true to her style - simple, elegant, and thoughtfully chosen within a modest budget.
Although she initially hesitated over its more fitted shape, it was her daughter who gently encouraged her to take the leap. That decision paid off, with guests repeatedly telling her on the day how beautiful she looked - a feeling that was both surreal and deeply touching.
Simple, confident, and chosen with love - a dress that celebrated both the moment and the woman wearing it.
Chosen together
Married on 27th July 2024
Steven and Anthony
Steven and Anthony chose The Buttery & Glasshouse after a thoughtful search of several venues, instantly recognising the level of care, service, and attention to detail that would shape their day.
The experience leading up to the wedding was just as meaningful as the day itself. Feeling truly heard and understood, they were able to create a celebration that reflected them completely, with every element carefully considered.
Their suits were chosen in the same spirit - a joint decision, free from outside influence, and perfectly aligned with their shared vision. Designed by Without Prejudice, the result was refined, confident, and unmistakably theirs. The response from guests was immediate and heartfelt, with countless compliments throughout the day.
A celebration of individuality, partnership, and knowing exactly what feels right - together.
A place that felt like home
Married on 7th August 2025
Amy and Oliver
For Amy and Oliver, The Buttery & Glasshouse wasn’t just a wedding venue, it was somewhere deeply familiar. Amy had previously worked at The Bull, her cousin was also part of the team, and her Nan, Wendy, in charge of the hotel rooms, spent many years caring for wedding guests.
Their connection to the venue spans generations, making their return as a couple feel particularly meaningful. That familiarity shaped the day - relaxed, personal, and naturally special.
Amy’s dress reflected that perfectly: a full skirt with delicate, off-the-shoulder Bardot sleeves, timeless and effortlessly elegant. And then there was Lilly, Amy and Oliver’s dog, with her own wedding dress and a small starring role, adding a light-hearted touch that made the day unmistakably theirs.
Some places don’t just host your story - they’re part of it.
