FOOD AND BAR

Everything in the kitchen at The Bull is prepared from scratch using the highest quality seasonal produce from a host of renowed local Kentish producers including farms, cheesemakers, breweries, vineyards and charcuterie.

Our wedding menus are expertly created with a pride and passion by our in-house chefs who prepare the most delicious and tantalising array of wholesome dishes, packed with flavour. All of our carefully selected premium cuts are aged, rubbed, brushed and marinated before hitting Ole Hickory Pits smoker directly imported from Texas.

Being a freehouse, the range of drinks is adventurous, dynamic and diverse. The Bull is stocked with a plethora of interesting tipples to explore from craft beers and ales, to artisan Bourbon and wines with more than 100 different wine grapes, dozens of techniques, from classics to new generation of innovative winemakers.

With passion for taste, a commitment to ingredients and a mission to never rush good food, The Bull’s smokehouse menu is all about high-quality meat cooked to perfection using tradicional smoking techniques.

There is no doubt, the menus will tantalise guests’ tastebuds. The Bull’s ten-year experience as an AA Rosette restaurant has influenced a deliciously wholesome and truly memorable choice of three-course wedding breakfast menus with both classic and quirky options to impress.

Crafted by in-house chefs, nothing is bought-in, everything is home-cooked and wholesome. All produce is organic and locally sourced, allowing the chefs to use the best quality ingredients whilst supporting local businesses. This is something The Bull Hotel feels very strongly about and is equally important to couples and their guests. The final result is truly memorable wedding breakfasts. Guests can expect with a sense of anticipation, the best wedding food in Kent.

The Signature Smokehouse Feast

With serious pedigree when it comes to smokehouse cooking, it was The Bull who kick-started the trend in Kent 8 years ago when a half-tonne wood-burning Texan smoker landed in our kitchen.

The smokehouse menu includes what The Bull does best, dishes that have now become classics thanks to an eclectic range of flavours and top quality. From prime English cuts of meat smoked over English oak and carefully fish and the freerange half-chicken that ‘melts like butter’ after 2 hours of the smoking treatment. The unique smokehouse menu is a crowd pleaser. Guests compliment the chefs all the time on how fantastic, tender and flavoursome the meat selection is.

Canapes and reception food

A true foodie paradise: crafted canapés, artisan pizzas, cheese and charcuterie spreads, grazing tables, smokehouse feasts, wholesome desserts, three-course dinners, festival food stalls… all prepared using local suppliers, family run farms and artisan producers.

The artisan stone-baked pizzas, which is the most popular option for evening food, are topped with prime ingredients with exciting combinations that are simple unique.

The outdoor, veranda and terrace

The Veranda

Featuring a stunning ancient stone wall covered with a lush fern backdrop, The Veranda adds another dimension to the courtyard as a heated outdoor space for entertaining wedding guests with drinks and canapés amongst garden sofas.

The Veranda is an evergreen escape that thrives all year round, couples already have a huge head start when it comes to creating an enchanting backdrop for their outdoor ceremony or an alfresco smokehouse feast.

The Courtyard Deck

Another beneficial design choice is the continuation of the stunning and functional flooring which gives the column-free courtyard plenty of room for guests’ entertainment being festival food stalls, outdoor games, drinks receptions, barbecues or sitting lounges.

The modern environment-friendly material allows the three buildings to seamlessly connect as well as to spread into a courtyard area where spectacular eye-catching reception entrances and group pictures are staged.

Our weddings are crafted to each individual couple. We pride ourselves on making each couple feel special, with only one wedding per day, allowing the couple to feel important. We listen, we discuss, we plan.

Our goal is to create a relationship and friendship with couples to build trust and support. We are experienced and skilful wedding coordinators that will organise your wedding to ensure it runs smoothly.

We are always on hand to answer any questions, listen to the desires and ideas and offer guidance and support. Your wedding day is your fairy-tale and we will provide the pages and the backdrop to help you write it
