Hi! I’m Jo from JoHerbertMakes.

I am a live portrait illustrator for events and weddings. I paint portraits of your guests on your wedding day for them to take home as wedding favours, or for you to send out as personalised thank you cards after the day. 

I started out as a watercolour artist, taking commissions of anything from houses, family portraits, pets and even dreams! 

I then decided to extend my business by doing live illustration.

I have worked at The Glasshouse a few times already and am looking forward to another 5 weddings this year. The atmosphere there is always so fun and joyous. It’s such a perfectly set out venue with plenty of light and space and individual areas but all in close proximity, keeping the party together and thriving! 

I love the atmosphere of the venue, and as an artist, I love all the gorgeous natural light! The team behind The Glasshouse are always so helpful and friendly and ready to help in any way they can.  I always look forward to painting at The Glasshouse. 

I loved the open day at The Glasshouse. It was great to be amongst a lovely bunch of suppliers. Everyone is their own small business so it feels very friendly and personable. Just the right vibe for such an intimate venue like The Glasshouse.
